Atmosphere II is a stand-alone excerpt that is included in the larger scale piece that makes up Atmosphere as a whole. It was created during the second phase of the creation process, which also introduced the work to a large theatre setting. 

Atmosphere II can be performed individually as it's own pas de deux.

The first showing of Atmosphere II was presented at Innovate Ballet Theatre's annual gala show, "The Greatest Love of Dance, A Night With The Stars" in Toronto, 2025. This phase of the creation process highlighted the newly created pas de deux, performed alongside Atmosphere III. 

This step in the creation process was also where we dug deeper into the term atmosphere in it's more scientific definition, incorporating the imagery of the atmospheric layers and connecting them to the different vignettes. As a nod to the complexities of the atmosphere and its intricate systems, the vignettes are created in reflection of the qualities the individual layers possess.

COSTUMING
Our costumes are designed and created with sustainability at the forefront of the process. We prioritize using recycled fabric materials, recreating with excess fabrics, and also upcycling secondhand items to create our designs.

Phase I & II are designed and created by sustainable dance wear brand, Imperfect Pointes. 
Atmosphere II pas de deux costumes are created and designed by Erica Johnson
