"My idea for the piece was to convey the relationship between chaos and order while they raced to claim a territory. In this instance, chaos/order are synonymous with nature/industrialism and they reference the shifting dynamic between femininity and masculinity. I designed this piece to act as a conversation between sides. The pitfall of a quest for environmental change is that it’s very easy to arrive in a place of guilt. So often we adopt too much responsibility and feel isolated from aspects of our lifestyle because we know the impact it can have on the environment. I hope to convey that the relationship of human vs. nature should be one of symbiosis. The goal would be to navigate on an individual level how to sustain awareness and strive for improvement without limiting your own experience. I hope to show that our relationship with nature is a dialogue to be considered with curiosity, not fear or guilt." "With ACC, I hope that people engage from a place of curiosity that leads to personal introspection, and transformation" - Darian
