EMMA RUBINOWITZ
DIRECTOR |
Emma Rubinowitz is a freelance dancer and choreographer based in the San Francisco. After growing up in the Bay Area, she went on to dance with San Francisco Ballet for eight seasons. She then decided leave the company and pursue a career in a new field, while continuing her involvement in the arts community. Emma began choreographing during her time at San Francisco Ballet, creating several short works including a music video titled “You Don’t Own Me” which was nominated for best short film at the San Francisco Dance Film Festival. Emma finds joy in creating dance and collaborating with other artists. She also created a new piece, 'porous' that was featured in Art to Action 2021, ACC first film series. Emma is an avid environmentalist. She believes we can create better solutions for sustainability within our communities. She looks forward to working on this film project, and to helping the ACC spread awareness throughout the dance community and beyond. |
