PHILIPPE JACQUES
CHOREOGRAPHER
Picture
Originally from Ottawa, Philippe Jacques is a graduate of the Royal Winnipeg Ballet (RWB) School’s Aspirant Program as well as a past participant of Springboard Danse Montréal. After graduation, Philippe performed in many of the RWB’s performances before becoming Artistic Coordinator for the RWB School where he led projects such as the choreographic competition First Steps and the Manitoba branch of the national outreach initiative, Sharing Dance, as well as worked as a choreographer and teacher.

Now an independent artist, his projects include choreographing for Horizon, the 360-film created in celebration of Canada’s 150th, for singer Faouzia’s music video My Heart’s Grave, for a multi-location performance by Sweden’s Teatre Interakt in collaboration with newcomers to Sweden, and for Ballet Victoria’s Ballet Rocks. He continues to teach and choreograph through our existing health crisis, most recently working with Ballet Victoria and Ballet Divertimento.
Special Thanks to Canada's Royal Winnipeg Ballet School For Their Generous Support
